Workshop Guidelines

1 - Join this Wiki

This project based workshop will be wiki-centric and participant-centric. You will need to join this wiki to contribute and add to the projects today.

2 - Help Others

If you are more technologically advanced, turn around and help another person after you've accomplished a task such as joining this wiki, for example.

3 - Include Others

Effective groups include all members. Facilitators will observe and encourage the participation of all group members. While this workshop USES technology it is about STEM education. Never mistake technological competence with content competence and make sure that even those who are not comfortable with technology are included in everything that your group does.

4 - Be Creative

To make STEM more interesting we need to add a little STEAM (put arts into what we're doing) -- put on your creative hat as you are led through the brainstorming and participation processes today.

5- Observe Methods Used

This is a project based learning workshop. Notice how groups work together. Notice the teaching approaches. Notice facilitation. Also consider your own response to this method of teaching. What role does technology play? This workshop is designed to teach both the content of collaboration AND how project based learning and technology can be used to teach content.
